Meet our therapists

Our Vision

At the Therapy Grove, our therapists are committed to providing effective psychotherapy that leads to meaningful and lasting change.

We are relentlessly empathetic - so that clients can feel safe to be honest, truly honest, with their most hidden thoughts and suppressed emotions.

Our therapists listen carefully to what you say, and even more carefully to what you don't say out loud - so you can get clear on what’s going on inside, understand the good reasons for why you do the (sometimes unproductive) things you do, and then to make meaningful, lasting changes.

Couples Counselling Specialist

Relationships can be wonderful! But boy, sometimes relationships can take a turn and leave us in dark places, questioning our life choices, and thinking thoughts we’d never thought we’d think about our partners. You’re not alone. And chances are, with a little help, the impasses you believed to be impossible are actually quite manageable - and the wounds that you thought would never heal are indeed quite mendable

EFT Couples Therapy Specialist

Peter’s primary specialty is helping couples get unstuck. He is a gifted practitioner of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a powerful approach that has helped countless couples restore secure, loving connections. He has helped couples who are:

  • Feeling unheard by their partners

  • Stuck in the same argument over and over again

  • Recovering from affairs, betrayals, and resentment

  • Feeling distant but unable to reconnect

  • Going through big life changes, like becoming parents

Growth-Oriented Individual Therapist

Peter also provides Person-Centered Psychotherapy for individuals. He won’t talk your ear off. He helps people grow by helping them get clear on their own thoughts and feelings. Peter asks thoughtful questions, he makes honest reflections, and he gives you the safety to be truly honest - with yourself and with others.

Therapy Grove Psychotherapy and couple counselling

I work with couples using Emotional-Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach that helps partners re-establish connection and rebuild intimacy. In therapy, I will ensure you feel heard, not judged. There are no “bad guys” in this work—we’re all on the same side, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. My role is to create a safe space where you can be honest with yourself and your partner.

Beyond couples therapy, I also work with individuals navigating personal challenges—whether they’re anxiety, self-doubt, or life transitions. I tailor sessions to each individual’s unique needs drawing principles from Person-Centered therapy and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy. Therapy with me isn’t about vague conversations that go nowhere—it’s about meaningful discussions that lead to real, lasting changes. We’ll work together to define your goals, and I’ll be transparent about our progress so you never feel like you’re wasting your time.

Melodi Laframboise

Registered Psychotherapist

You're scrolling through social media and everyone else seems to be enjoying the life you thought you'd have by now

You're happy for them (mostly) but part of you wonders if you took a wrong turn somewhere. It’s a painful, isolating feeling - sometimes it feels like you’re grieving a timeline that never happened. I’m glad you’re here. And I hope you reach out.

Melodi works with young professionals navigating a quarter-life crisis: that quiet, existential angst that you can’t seem to drown out. In therapy, we learn to accept our present reality - while building the courage to be honest about what we really want in our lives. She helps people to get clear on what they truly want, and to build the courage needed to make it happen.

Melodi takes a grounded, thoughtful approach to therapy. She's not here to tell you what to do, she's here to help you find clarity. What do you want your life to look like? How do we parse out what we actually value from what we were told to value?
